 History of ITV 2 idents 










ITV 2 is a TV channel that is aired in the United Kingdom in December 7th 1998 and the tv ident is there mainly because of pure entertainment for a few seconds for the audience to see before they get back to their show for example "Family Guy" they had their participation with ITV 2 ident and not too long ago in 2015 in August ITV 2 have been creating new idents with different shows on their channel.


ITV 2 idents used to have specific programmes in them like here in this screen grab of 2006 there is a programme that they have put in the  back ground of their ident with the old itv 2 channel logo

Analysis and application of findings

 FEEDBACK I WILL ACT ON:  When Khiaurn and simona said that the chosen music didn’t fit the ident this will make the audience unsure about what’s supposed to happen and the ident will not be fit for purpose. When Miss told me to add some clips from the show i was going to use so then the audience are aware that this ident is for the show “love island” and it will keep them more engaged as they will also find it a bit funny seeing random love island clips popping up. Khairun and simona both told me to try and use transitions on the sharp cut outs on the clips as it did look a bit untidy and it didn’t go with the flow like it should have so i added transitions to blend the jump cuts together. FEEDBACK I WILL NOT ACT ON: The feedback that i will not act on is when simona said that she didn’t like how she acted out in some parts because that means my ident will be delayed and not finished in time and there could be more mistakes made if i do it again than how i did it before so to stay in

Production journey for ident

  What I have done from week one is I have got the ident prototypes that I will be using in case I needed any extra, so I made a card for the ident so when Simona receives the card from the door it has the show "love island" written on it and this allows the audience +to know that this tv ident is from the show "love island".  when I first tried to record it, it did take a bit of time only because I had to find someone to be comfortable enough to let their face be in the camera and luckily Simona volunteered to be in my ident so that was a huge help. Shortly we started filming the following week and it did take quite a while as we all kept laughing and half the times, I had to help Khairun with her ident as well, so I was in the cupboard with balloons around me. Even with all of that going on I manged to finish my ident last week and I started to make my rushes log of the videos I am going to use and the ones that will be discarded and doing this just lets me know w
