work plan

My aim is to finish my two 30 second idents, I will need to use my time wisely to get the most out of my work and make it up to my standards, I have been given my lesson time to also record so i will be making the most of it to make sure I film the key parts of my ident. When I get to my editing stage, I will need to find copyright free music and some sound effects to help me make this ident.

Week 1: getting all the equipment and props ready to film, i will be making the ITV 2 cut out confetti and I will be putting them inside a book before i record and while I'm recording, I'm going to be flicking through the notebook and then "accidentally" drop it so all the itv 2 confetti comes out

Week 2:  getting the glowsticks and turning it into ITV 2 logo

Week 3: putting all my work inside final cut pro to edit

Week 4: complete ident and receive audience feedback

Week 5: use the feedback to make my changes that are needed

Week 6: evaluation 

Week 7: finish off unfinished tasks

 FEEDBACK I WILL ACT ON:  When Khiaurn and simona said that the chosen music didn’t fit the ident this will make the audience unsure about what’s supposed to happen and the ident will not be fit for purpose. When Miss told me to add some clips from the show i was going to use so then the audience are aware that this ident is for the show “love island” and it will keep them more engaged as they will also find it a bit funny seeing random love island clips popping up. Khairun and simona both told me to try and use transitions on the sharp cut outs on the clips as it did look a bit untidy and it didn’t go with the flow like it should have so i added transitions to blend the jump cuts together. FEEDBACK I WILL NOT ACT ON: The feedback that i will not act on is when simona said that she didn’t like how she acted out in some parts because that means my ident will be delayed and not finished in time and there could be more mistakes made if i do it again than how i did it before so to stay in

Post production report for Ident

 Post production process- I edited all my shots using final cut pro on the Imac and then I uploaded it to youtube and took in any feedback that I got from my audience that have watched my ident. From the feedback I have gained I worked upon it and made sure that I looked over any details my audience told me to add in and take out so then my ident can be complete and uploaded onto youtube to be assessed. Edits and Transitions - In this ident I haven’t added man6 transitions to it as it wasn’t needed, I only cut out some bits from my clips as they had background noises and sounds of all my friends laughing which was not needed. There were scene from the Love Island show that I pasted into the ident just to make it look more relatable and funny for the audience so they can stay engaged and I think that really turned out well and created a good effect. I added a few transitions towards the end to create a closing effect on the ident which i thought was really cool and my audience loved it

Production journey for ident

  What I have done from week one is I have got the ident prototypes that I will be using in case I needed any extra, so I made a card for the ident so when Simona receives the card from the door it has the show "love island" written on it and this allows the audience +to know that this tv ident is from the show "love island".  when I first tried to record it, it did take a bit of time only because I had to find someone to be comfortable enough to let their face be in the camera and luckily Simona volunteered to be in my ident so that was a huge help. Shortly we started filming the following week and it did take quite a while as we all kept laughing and half the times, I had to help Khairun with her ident as well, so I was in the cupboard with balloons around me.
